Nature Positive Sydney is a report by the Committee for Sydney, in partnership with Mott MacDonald, Hassell and Government Architect NSW. It outlines four key actions to restore and grow Sydney’s living infrastructure. These include strengthening community education and Indigenous knowledge through expanded awareness programs and a proposed Centre for Urban and Indigenous Ecology; setting and monitoring metropolitan and local targets for living infrastructure beyond tree canopy; managing living infrastructure as a public asset and embedding related outcomes in government procurement; and driving long-term investment through tools such as a green factor for development, a living infrastructure fund, and valuation frameworks for major projects.
